Because people play them, so why not talk about them, and find out who's played what? :keiko:

I think we can safely assume everyone's played Ace Attorney, and discussing it here would be a little redundant.

First question, and my ulterior motives for making this thread: Has anyone (besides Ghaleon, because I already know he's awesome) played Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete or Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete?

That game was effing awesome, but it's old enough that it's faded into obscurity.
I LOVE LEO
Leeeoooo :D <3  He is such a righteous, crusading asshole.  I love it.
I've got a thing for RPGs.  I also loved Chrono Trigger (but who didn't?) and Golden Sun (though the characters had somewhat flat personalities, especially compared to Lunar and CT)...

Before anyone asks, yes, I played Final Fantasy, who hasn't.  I enjoyed IX and Tactics the most.

Also awesome: Katamari Damacy.  Except COWWWBEEEARRRR  :grey:

I'm not good at RPGs at all. I'm now impossibly stuck in TWEWY due to me not training enough and being in a place where I can't train and get new pins, Which is irritating. It's one of my favourite games, too...

Ah yes. Video games. My heart and soul. XDDDD

Right now I'm playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Ironically, the gameplay for both games is similar. XD I might finish Crisis Core sometime in the next century. >_>

I've become a total handheld freak. All of my consoles are rotting away while I'm playing the portable systems to death. XD Anywway, some of my favorite games besides AA include Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts (the first one), Shadow of the Colossus, TWEWY, Elite Beat Agents, the first two Paper Mario games, and Pokemon G/S/C.

And heck yes Chrono Trigger is awesome. :D

Video games, eh?  Well, I have to admit that I've always enjoyed the older set of games like Mega Man, Super Mario Bros., Bionic Commando, Metroid, and so on (even if I died infinity +1 times in all of those games).
As for my personal favorites, I'd have to say...
-Advance Wars series (also known as Famicom Wars)
-Final Fantasy series (didn't take well to 10, but it's OK; also, like Tactics since it's similar to AW (Turn-based strategy))
-Mega Man series (this just being 1-9 (haven't played 9, heard many good things about it)
-Mega Man X series (yes, I'm being specific, bite me)
-Ace Attorney series
-Metroid series (I personally liked the original and Super Metroid the best).
-Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3
-Chrono Trigger
-Super Mario RPG

Can't say I've played that game, Pie  :sadshoe:

Favourite game? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Seriously, nothing even comes close to the sheer awesome that was that game. I played the whole thing through twice, have three copies of it (2 for Xbox - one broke - and one for PC seeing as the Xbox is now dead too ;_;) and would happily play it again if I had the time. In fact, that's something I should maybe think about for the summer.

Other notable games include:
FFX (the music, cutscenes, characters...everything is amazing)
Silent Hill 2/3
Fahrenheit (called Indigo Prophecy in the US, one of the most bizarre games I've played)
Illusion of Time and Secret of Mana (both really good games for the SNES)
and a very obscure Sega Saturn game called Torico. Apparently it was known as Lunacy in the US.

I'll come up with some more later~

STORY OF MY LIFE.  Dead fandom is dead.  Then again, that new one they tried making, Lunar: Dragon Song?  Didn't help. :sadshoe:

Regy:  I have such a hard time finishing Fire Emblem games.  I refuse to let any of the characters die, but those stupid computer characters keep rushing into suicide...

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. AND WHEN YOU'RE ALMOST AT THE END OF THE STAGE AND SOMEONE DIES IT'S INFURIATING. NEARLY BEAT THE ENTIRE THING AND THEN HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH YOU DIE. ASDFGHJKL

The thing about this new!old FE is that you have to let characters die to unlock other ones >_<!! I don't like that feature.

A)  Man, I feel the same way with the characters dying.  That can get frustrating (thankfully, I'm used to getting frustrated at games, so it's all good.  XD).  (Intelligent Systems knows how to make good game series)
B)  That's...a weird feature.  People needing to die to get more people?  Confusing.
C)  New!old = that remake they're coming up with, right?

Yeah seriously. All the sidequests are opened by you playing POORLY rather than well, which made me mad. But yeah, I always make sure to try and finish FE games with all characters surviving. Because I just feel so bad when they die. ;_;

This one is particularly easy though (if you play it on Normal Mode anyway). That or I'm just getting better after 5 games. :adrian:

Anyone have any other recently released DS games they'd recommend? (Like aside from Chrono Trigger - played that before.)

Edit: Yes, General, the new one's just come out for DS. It's a remake of the first game in the series.

'Fraid not.  I haven't been playing many new games myself.  I feel like such an old fogie, sticking to the classics.  :yogi:

The more I hear about Fire Emblem, the less I wanna try it again.  I'll stick to games where you actually have a shot at saving your characters, thanks!

FIRE EMBLEM'S THE BEEEEEST! *falls over*

Hmm when I go back home for Spring Break I'm gonna play that "Deadly Creatures" game but until then I've only got my DS. What to do what to do... :yuusaku:

Don't worry, Aqua, I'm sure you aren't the only one. >_> <_<
MyDSwon'trecognizeitanymore.

Currently obsessed with Left 4 Dead. Wonderful game.

Dead Rising, however, sucks. The time limit makes me feel pressured,no autosave, even after boss fights, the graphics are terrible, the controls are awkward, your first boss fight is with a pistol that is on crack, and you have four boxes of health that you lose if ONE zombie bites you. And your weapons? They break. ._.
My lead pipe may as well be made of paper.
And I have never played Fire Emblem.

YES. :redd:
I loved those games, even though Indigo Prophecy was censored over here.

Anyway, here's my list of favorite games:
-Mass Effect
-Tales of Vesperia
-Tales of Symphonia
-Resident Evil 4
-Call of Duty 4
-Legend of Zelda series
-Splinter Cell series

My favorite games? Well let's see...

-Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (though I dislike the second one a lot)
-The PW games
-Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan
-Dragon Quest IV
-Pokemon
-SOME FF games
-Mario games
-LoZ games
-BioShock
-MGS series
-Higurashi* (Kai/Rei)
-Umineko

*Although Higurashi is now an anime it is originally a visual/sound novel. Same for Umineko. A visual/sound novel is a PC game that tells you a story, but shows it with images and sound rather than just text. The art itself isn't amazing and isn't animated (there are different poses and expressions but it isn't like one face is animated into the next) but the music tends to make up for it.

I absolutely refuse to let a character die. D: (except for Makalov and Edward in my first playthroughs of FE9 and FE10, respectively. The former because I didn't like him and he was useless anyway, and the latter because Micaiah's team sucked so much and I was SO CLOSE to beating that stage that I let it slide)

Okay, I HARDLY EVER let a character die, but I've beaten all of them all, save the one I'm currently playing. So it's not impossible, Pie. :keiko:

As for new DS games.... what DS games have you already played, Regy?

Also, Also.... MASS EFFECT. :o I only got to play it for a few hours at my cousin's house at Christmas 2007, but it was a-freaking-mazing. O_O I was at my cousin's house again a week ago, but unfortunately all of his games and systems got stolen. D:>
